About
I like being close to the work.
I’m Noam, a UK-based senior mobile engineer. My background is deepest in native iOS, and my production work now spans Android, Kotlin Multiplatform and the systems around the apps.
What I work on
Hands-on from decision to release.
I am most useful when a product team has something real to ship and the difficult part crosses boundaries: a native interface, shared Kotlin, authentication, an API, a test strategy or the path through CI and the app stores.
I prefer clear, bounded outcomes over slide-heavy strategy work. That can mean investigating a codebase, making the key technical decisions, implementing the work and staying with it until it is ready to release.
Experience
Mobile work across the product boundary.
- Native iOS My deepest engineering background, across product implementation and platform integration.
- Production Android and KMP Current hands-on product work spans Android and a mature Kotlin Multiplatform codebase alongside iOS.
- Systems and delivery API integration, testing, CI/CD, release automation and App Store delivery are part of the engineering work.
- Products shipped end to end I build and release personal products, including Dee for iPhone and iPad, from product decisions through localisation and App Store delivery.
Outside client work
Personal products and technical writing.
Dee is a released personal app for iPhone and iPad. I owned the product direction, interaction design, implementation, localisation and App Store delivery.
This site is also my engineering notebook. I write detailed, practical articles about iOS tooling, testing, release automation, Kotlin Multiplatform and AI-assisted development.
Elsewhere
Code, writing and conversation.
