About
I like being close to the work.
I’m Noam, a UK-based senior software engineer. I help growing businesses replace awkward manual workflows with focused software, and I support product teams when important existing systems are slow, risky or stuck.
How I work
Close to the decision and the delivery.
With a growing business, I start by learning how the work happens today and where it gets frustrating. I’ll tell you plainly whether I think you should buy something, connect the tools you have, automate a step or build something custom. If we build, I stay involved through launch.
With an existing product team, I can dig into the codebase, make the key technical decisions and own a difficult app, backend or desktop milestone. I’ll bring in a trusted specialist if the work needs one, but you’ll still deal with me directly.
Experience
I’m an engineer who likes the whole product problem.
- Workflow discovery and scope Turning a vague business problem into a clear recommendation, scope and price.
- Apps and custom software Native iOS is my deepest background, but my production work also spans Android, Kotlin Multiplatform, internal tools and desktop software.
- Systems, performance and delivery I’m comfortable following a problem through the backend, data, APIs, testing and release process.
- Products shipped end to end I also build and release my own products, including Dee for iPhone and iPad.
Outside client work
Things I make and write.
Dee is a released personal app for iPhone and iPad. I owned the product direction, interaction design, implementation, localisation and App Store delivery.
This site is also my engineering notebook. I write detailed, practical articles about iOS tooling, testing, release automation, Kotlin Multiplatform and AI-assisted development.
